Long time listener, First time caller
Morning everyone. Matt here from far up in the northeast. I've been circling the campfire way too long and have decided to sit down and join the conversation. Almost at the 10 year anniversary of being the second owner of an 85 GSL, first owner bought and drove all over orange county before moving to Maine and putting it to rest in a garage for 10+ years, then it arrived in my care. I've been a mechanic and electronics technician my whole life, have a small motorcycle, jetski, snowmobile, fuel burning toy, shop at my house. It seems that now having read thousands of posts regarding some version of DFIS, I've decided to join the cool kids. I've currently built a rotary engine ignition test bench in my shop to fully explore each and every facet of options regarding the swap prior to making changes under the hood. My first post will hopefully bring many good things to the table to share. See you all soon.

Actually, I did I did some very successful tests last night in my shop. I'm crunching the images and videos to find the best way to compile and share.

I'll get some pics up soon, bone stock in V3 tender blue metallic. aged and in need of a deep cleaning but rust and rot free. Undercarriage still has the factory paint and most fasteners are still brass colored. Unfortunately the California sunshine completely fried all the clearcoat off, I'm in the process of sourcing a decent candidate for a repaint. The only variations from stock are: carefully removed and stored the A/C system. Rigged an arm to hold the failed shutter butterfly open. Swapped the failed tuner from the radio stack with a black tuner from a stripped Gen II thats in my shop.
