I have been a member for a while, lurking in the auxiliary injection forum, but wanted to post an introduction. I am looking at some cars, probably not an FD, still too expensive, but I do have an FD turbo question. A friend has a turbo diesel that comes with an HT12 turbo. I was looking for info on them, and it seems that she may have a ticking time bomb. Are there other turbos, like the HT18, that can be bolted onto the exhaust manifold for more power and reliability?

My current car is a kei. You can do a search for a Daihatsu Move Aero Down Custom XX, and see what it is. I am looking to either go with a turbo 1-2.5 liter gas engine, or a 2.5-3 liter diesel engine. mostly interested in spraying water/meth (i am a meth head), and tuning, either by fuel screws or by software. Just hoping to learn some.
