Just getting in to the rotary world!

Hi, my name is Logan. I live in Springfield Missouri. I am studying to be an engineer and I'm only 17. I am driving my first car, a 2001 grand am 4cyl and I'm looking to get a first gen rx7. I love to tinker with my car now, but lets face it. It's boring and predictable. I want a nice project car to work on, and my mom and dad are fine with this!? So I'm getting one. Now I need to know what to do because I'm not that educated on rotary engines. That's why I'm here!

Good for you! I just looked at your Craigslist, looks like several 1st gens near you. I'd go for one as original as possible, but that's me. A couple of those I saw looked 'well used'. Enjoy!

I will have one, I am keeping my car so I can do more! I can't wait. I have a budget of $1800 now and I would like it to be running because I need to get better at driving a stick! (I can but not super smooth!) I have searched craigslist but I have to get my parents permission of the car before I get it so no rust. I am willing to wait for the right one
