Just bought my first rotary Tuesday and wanted to introduce myself...

Hi there! I've been interested in owning an RX7 for a few years now but never felt I would be able to properly take care of it. For roughly the last 5 years I've been playing with Miata's (mostly doing suspension and autocross mods) instead, but last year my Miata had an engine fire during my final year of university and I haven't felt the motivation to fix it lately now that I have graduated. So I am going to take a break from the Miata for a bit while I learn more about my RX7.
It's a 1982 with 93,000 miles. It was last registered on the road in 2004 so I've got a few things to take care of before I start driving it. I'll be starting with rebuilding the carburetor this weekend!

Welcome, good luck with it all! Looks like you found a nice rust-free example, I like the mazdarati sticker lol
I can't imagine you're going to be getting rid of those wheels anytime soon, but I sure am eyeing them up!

I agree that it was a good buy! I think Kurt bought it from a gentleman that either owned it since new or had it for an extremely long time.

From what I remember Kurt said it was owned by an older couple for a long time who have since passed away. They sold it to someone in 2007 who never did anything with the car. Then Kurt bought it, then I bought it from him.
