WA Just bought a first gen GSL SE

Been sitting a while, going to have a good friend who's owned a few help me get it running later today. Engine looks clean and taken care of so far. It was a $1600 gamble to a degree, but I think it's a steal whether it runs or not. Only plans for the future right now are to keep it on the road as long as I can. I love seeing rotaries on the street.

The car looks fantastic for $1600!! I think it was a great buy! How many miles are on the car? Do you know any history on the car or have any maintenance records for the car?

Welcome to club GSL-SE!

If it runs I'd say you did great for $1600.

The odometer reads 184k miles. I wish it had records, and the old man wouldn't fuss anything up or give me his son's (previous owner's) contact info. The son lives a state away so I can't poke around about it either.

@JKM
The car runs amazing now. The previous owner used random plugs but kept fresh oil in it and a full tank of gas before he let it sit so it was an easy clean-up and tune.

Glad to hear that its running and driving well. There are many members here on the club that have gone over 300k on an original SE engine. At 184k, I don't think you'll have many issues as long as you drive it with respect and maintain it properly.
