Just bought a '91 RX-7

Greetings. I just bought a '91 RX-7 S5. I've never owned a rotary before and I'm torn between keeping it stock or making it turbo. I'm open to suggestions.

Welcome to the forums!
I used to have a S4 NA, I'd say keep it NA for a while. Stock NA FCs generally don't have as much of a reliability problem compared to turbo counterparts. Also NA rotaries are amazing to drive. With a turbo you get more power, but you lose a little bit of that NA magic that the rotaries have. If you feel like the car is slow, just shift a little later in the rev range. hahaha

Also keep in mind, its more effective to do a complete T2 swap then to bolt on a turbo like many other vehicles. With a T2 swap, you'd want to do the rear end and transmission to hold the power as well. I found that it would have been cheaper to find a used T2 then to do a conversion. Not sure if thats true anymore.

Ok, thanks for your input. I really appreciate it. I think I will take your advice and keep it as it is.
