Hey my name is Jim and I am a new member jumping into the Rotary waters! I just got my first Rotary from a good friend who gave me a incredible hook up on a 1989 Turbo II S5 RX7. She doesn't start right now (more than likely a dead battery) and I was told she probably has a blown Apex seal so a rebuild will be done in the near future. Picked her up yesterday and am excited to get started!!

Picked up the S5 non running, and plannin on a rebuild for your first rotary?
I'm guessing you have a wee bit of experience under a hood?

 

Minor experience with under the hood but I plan to bring in a Mazdatrix rebuild video and a mechanically inclined neighbor.
