I am from Baltimore MD and have purchessed a 1987 Mazda rx7 for my grandson and am in process of completely restoring it. About 80-90 % completed at point that it is about ready for the road. I have approx 2500.00 into it and am questioning if this is actually a good starter car for him and trying to decide its value n worth to put more money into it thinking maybe I should just try to turn it. Replaced fuel pump. Battery brakes front n back including calipers. New clutch cylander and slave cylander. The car has approx 163 k miles on it. It seems to run good now having a minor missing engine issue. It could be lack fuel in tank it had ton rust I cleaned it out b4 replacing fuel pump. It has when I got it the body repaired no dents dings and everything except the front clip has been repainted using the senergy green GM Camaro paint . Trying to decide if it's worth spending the money to finish it off using the high dollar paint or just put a flat black basic paint on it. I having a hard time finding a mechanic who wants to even take look at rotory engine. Which has no oil leaks nor water leaks. Also having a hard time finding any Manuela for repair or even the needed replacement parts. When I got it the car was torn down in a ton of peices the screws n fasteners in a huge Tupperware containers in marked I have figured it out mostly but the rest interior is turning into a headache trying to figure out exactly how things n where they go. Also would like some help on where I can put it up for sale if I decide to let it go. Anyway thanks for letting me join this site so far seems a good starting place to go for help n questions
