Introduction - New Member
Hello,
My name is Geoff and I recently bought a 1993 RX7. I bought the car without a engine installed and have been going through the pains of getting everything working for the last month.
Here's what I've done:
1. Got rid of the rats nest and went to a simplified sequential (has 99' spec turbos)
2. Put in a stage 2 Spec clutch.
3. Dropped in the engine... That was fun...
4. Troubleshot the car for weeks trying to get the boost to work correctly.
5. Finally got the boost working somewhat and now my clutch went out.
6. Turns out the ring that holds the throw-out bearing to the pressure plate either popped off or just isn't holding.
Now I get to do the following:
1. Drop the transmission and fix the clutch...
2. Check every solenoid to ensure proper operation so I can get rid of my intermittent boost issues.
3. Put new brakes on.
4. Hopefully get to drive it some more this summer??
So there it is. Here I am, joining the fun of the 3rd gen RX7 madness...
