Introduction
My name is William Carlson, I am a retired Rear Admiral who spent 33 years in the United States Navy, then worked in the private sector for 10 years before retiring permanently in 2002. I live outside of Cazenovia, NY, a small town about 20 miles SE of Syracuse. I own a 1983 RX7 SE that I purchased new and am still driving. I was a member of the original RX7 Club that disbanded in the late 80's. My RX7 has 210,000 miles and no mechanic other than myself has worked on the car in the 27 years I have owned it. I found this web site while browsing RX7 sites and decided to join in the hope of both sharing some of my experience and hearing from other rotary owners.
Well, that car hasn't seen a whole lot of road action, I'm figuring, since my 1983 GS is just at 199k miles and it was off the road for a decade before I found it! But "SE"?
Let's see some pics!
Welcome aboard, William! The more 1stgen folk who join, the better, I always sez!

Mar 3: My error, my memory told me that there were 3 levels of RX-7 in 1983 (S, SE, GS) but checking the original window sticker I found out mine is a GSP with upgrades for a top of the line stereo and a sun roof. ($325.00 extra for each, those were nice prices). I will get around to pics in the near term.

Welcome! I'm a 20 year Navy man myself, retired in 2004...
My name is Winston, I recently purchased a 1988 RX7 convertible in good condition thinking it would be fun to drive around with the top down on the weekends...
