OR An Introduction

Hi, names Nick and I'm in the Portland Metro Area!
I don't actually own an Rx7 yet but I'm trying to find a cheap running FC.
I do have a few questions though, as I would really like to learn to do a lot of the work on the car when I get it I've been thinking about taking some classes at PCC for automotive repair.

In your guys experience will any of the automotive classes help out when working on an Rx? Or am I better off finding someone willing to help and do the work with me?

Anyone have any good technical references for this stuff either, I really don't know a whole lot about auto repair but I would like to be able to basically take the whole car apart and put it back together, and of course, still have it run
