Yeah, we've sold at least a few ECUs that have gone into 2JZ powered FDs. I shared some photos in Facebook once and my goodness there's nothing better to polarise an audience! Half of the people loved it and half hated it. I think the only thing more controversial would be putting the LS engine into a Japanese body.
