Hi all,
Just in the neighborhood as I seem to keep collecting 1st gens and I'm looking into getting more advice and getting into some group buys on here for my street car.
Lets see - So far I have a 84 GS that has been converted to a GSL that is currently being prepared for Spec RX7 here in the Washington DC metro area (AKA Summit Point). This has been a project for a few years now due to the economy, etc.
About a month and a half ago I picked up an '82 GS that needs some new paint but had little to no rust on the inside. It also had a rebuilt '85 motor with less then 1K on the ticker so its being converted to an autocross/daily driver as we speak. Im planning on converting it to a GSL this weekend along with swapping all bushings, shocks and springs. Ive already made a custom gauge panel for where the old tape deck was and I have replaced the factory radio with a Sony CD player.
To top it all off, This weekend I will be picking up an '85 GS that is in prime shape. With minimal work I plan to have this one out for sale soon, so if anyone is interested and in the N.VA area, please feel free to send me a PM. (not trying to use this as a "for sale" post - just including it in my list of RX7's).
I have been in many forums over the years, including the SR20 and G20 Nissan forums as well as 350Z forums. This one seems to be pretty good so far, so I hope the quality stays high.
Thanks - Alex
