Intro!

Hello Everyone! I'm Craig, not going to be a long introduction as I don't really do to well at saying what I do and breaking the ice!

I'm here because I want to learn more about RX-7's, I'm looking forward to saving everything I have before my insurance renewal so I can buy one and want to did everything I need to know beforehand!

Currently I drive a Fiat Grande Punto, she serves me well but isn't what I really want to be driving!

So other than that I'm an Electrical Engineering Apprentice at the NHS and currently starting my 3rd year, started my HnC yesterday which is paid for through the NHS as part of my Apprenticeship!

Love cars, Motorsport and I'm not completely knowledgeless (is that a word?) about cars. Just lacking a bit when it comes to an RX-7!

Hope that doesn't break the rules since I don't have one yet, but I will get one. One way or another!!

Thanks for anyone that reads this!

Craig!

God it's been a while since I got on here. I can't start a new thread which is understandable with my inactivity so it's going in the intro just for now!!

Well guys I've been working hard and have found an RX7 I can hopefully get between now and March.

But this is where my first problem has came, the price is low and in all honesty I don't know what I'm looking for at first glance. I've got about a two hour travel to the car and when I get there I'll probably not know what I'm looking at past the basics of maintenance. I can't crack the engine open and have a look to see if the seals are ok etc. It's a private seller and I don't think he will have any compressions readings. I've sent an email but he's yet to get back to the latest one.

He said its through circumstance and I have a feeling he is genuine, but in a corner you can lie your way out of anything. I realise most of what I want is already on the forums but it's just a quick run down of what I should look for if anyone has a cut and paste list!

I know it may be a lot to ask since I dont know anyone yet but if anyone is free this weekend and near Glasgow that has some experience with Gen 3's it would be greatly appreciated if I could borrow your time on Saturday to come and help me check it over. I can pick up on the way from newcastle or anything!!

Thanks guys and once I do manage to get a Gen 3 be it this one or another then I will be on here a lot more!

Craig!
