Im now addicted to the RX-7

New from STL, Ive never seen an fc rx7 in person till i bought mine a few days ago. This 1987 GXL Coupe could use a little tlc, but for $1500, i couldn't pass it up. 150k on the body, 40-50k on the motor. S2000 wheels. Rebuilt lsd. Koyorad radiator with electric fans. Short throw 5-speed. Corbeau race seat. Racing Beats Header, cat delete, pre-silencer, and a big o' can. Optima red top moved behine seat into storage.

I've never driven a car that handled so smooth and sharp. Gas mileage is quite poor but its a rotary. Dont know if it typical for a these cars to shoot fire ***** but mine does. Hates could weather, but cold start was deleted i was told, any way to fix? Idle changes from 700-800 to 1300 rpm depending on temp. Temp gauge never gets above the bottom 1/4 of the gauge? DUMMY LIGHTS DONT COME ON?!?!? Rear sway bar link bushing are almost gone and useless, whats the mazdatrix part number for the bushings? Can you preload the rear sway bar on stock links? Is it safe for me to keep premixing my gas with 1 quart 2 stroke outboard oil to every 16 gals of gas?

The main plan for the car is to make an AutoX and just have fun. Everyone loves a fun street car!

Thanks for all and any help!

Nice car you got a good deal, the 1/4 way up on temp gauge is normal. If its up to half or higher that's when you start worrying.

On the premix I'm really not sure , it depends on if your omp is still functional or blocked off.

Good buy, awesome price for the mods it has. I've had my fc for 5 years and I have to say I've never driven a car with the look feel and handling that these cars can provide. And for some reason I feel like this car has a personality, sometimes it has the weirdest symptoms that don't really relate to anything!
