I'm Joe, this is my car
Hi everyone, been looking around the forums for a little while now and just got my first Rx-7. I have a couple of friends on here so I decided to join too. I just picked up this 91 FC from Massachusetts. Has 90k original miles, picked it up for $800 after two long/annoying/eventful trips. The car is pretty clean, bought it from the 2nd owner. Its the heaviest model FC (just my luck haha), power everything, steel hood, sun roof that works, rear wiper, back seats (which i heard were pretty rare) and also came with cruise control which I also heard was pretty rare too. The car has some problems, nothing major though. Has a hesitation problem, tried disconnecting the TPS which made a little bit of a difference, but the fuel in the tank was very old so i drained that out and found some special goodies in the old fuel. Today, I will pull the fuel pump and replace if necessary which I think is the problem. The previous owner had the car for four years and only put 10k miles on it and it had sat for a while too. The motor is very strong, no smoke at all, no hot/cold start problems either, starts right up everytime.
Overall, I'm in love with the car and already have many plans for it. The car also came with a magnaflow exhaust (not a big fan of but eh, whatever.), some KYB GR-2's with eibach springs which I don't care for because coilovers are coming soon, and some bushings were replaced with energy suspension bushings. I've owned four Nissan 240sx's and this car is a million times better in every way, and no I don't drift. Heres a few pictures of the car, let me know what you think:

welcome man!
You said you need an exhaust and you want to get rid of the shocks? I have catback that I might be able to trade you in exchange for the KYB's depending on their condition, I sent you a PM, maybe we can work something out!

Haha, I'll let you know but as of now im unsure. They're in good condition though, I think i may have the receipt for them too, just have to look around. But yeah, thanks for all the welcomes. Now!! (If im allowed to in here) I need to ask a question. Hesitation, its random and ranges from a violent bucking to the gas pedal not doing anything. The motor is in perfect running order, no smoke what so ever, idles at a rock solid 700 or 800. I tried unplugging the TPS but that didn't do much, swapped over fuel pumps to a walbro 255 when i noticed some **** floating around in the tank. I just ordered a bunch of **** including a new fuel filter but until that gets here are there any suggestions? I've searched of course, cleaned all the main grounds too. Thanks!

Hell yeah!! Now getting this old fuel filter out is a bitch in my pitch black drive way. Oh, i broke my cheap *** jack too ahah. Come over with a drop light!! Now i need to buy another jack lol, bloooooooowing money.
Overall plans for the car lets see... Daily drive it for a bit, save up some money, coilovers (PBM), wheels (Rota P45R's maybe), then probably t2 if all goes well. Then we'll see from there.
