Howdy from Tennessee (Even if im working in Ky)

Allo' Everyone, Names David. I'm 19 from Jamestown, TN. Just recently got off work in Kentucky as an I&R Technician doing disaster work in Campbellsville, Lebanon and Caneyville. Few close encounters but fairly good work. Now im currently in Mayfield, KY. Working as a Digital Cable installer. Hey, gotta make money :p

Now, As for my FC. When I first arrived back from KY with a fair bit of cash in my Pocket and wanting something besides my Toyota to get around. (Okay, TO be honest. I've always wanted a car... and a FC was always on my mind)

Low and behold, I discovered the currenty Rx7 Sitting back at home sold a town away

A 1988 RX7 Gen 2 GXL NA With around 89k miles.

Just recently took the plunge and purchased my first FC. An 88 GXL.

Now, I've always been a huge fan of drifting since I was younger and certain cars always stuck out to me. The FC Being one of them. Now, Before you all freak out thinking I want to do a Turbo II swap and drift around in a small town. Dont worry, Im fully versed in Tennessee laws and know I cant "V-TEC JUST KICKED IN YO!" Throughout the state. (Lolhonda ref)

My main concern is getting the Rx7 In top shape.
Currently I need to get the Rack & Pinion steering fixed as its a bit iffy and some work on the Transmission (Fairly certain its the Throwout bearing gone bad)

After that, If I still decide I'd like to drift. Im not going to pump the car full of power, Ill just keep her as a reliable Daily Driver/Drifter. If I can survive with an NA and become fairly well versed in it behind the wheel of the NA, I think Ill be better off incase I ever decide to swap.

Also, Sorry about the loooong thread
What can I say

Except, Thanks for taking the time to read :p

-David
