Hi from Phoenix.

Howdy. Checking in as I’m in the process of getting my hands on a 93.

Cutrently have a S2 rx-8.

Aside from BHR, are there any other rotary centric tuners/builders out here, specifically North Phoenix?

Welcome! Would love to see pics of the FD when you get it home.

Sadly I’m still waiting to find one.

The unfortunate part is that I believe the Facebook marketplace is skewing the value of these.

For example:
  1. Person A lists **** box FD for top dollar, say $15,000 with body damage, blown motor, and a beat interior with missing components.
  2. Person A gets a ton of lowball offers and eventually accepts one for $6500.
  3. Person A marks the car as ‘sold’ and Facebook updates the marketplace listing as sold for $15,000. No one knows what it actually sold for.
  4. Now person B comes along with a slightly less beat, but equally valued FD than Person A had and thinks “well mine is in better shape and if he got $15,000, then mine is worth $17,000.”
  5. Person B lists his on Facebook marketplace for top dollar - $17,000
  6. Go back to step 2 - you see where I’m going with this.

So the million dollar question is: what are these things actually worth? The recent bring a trailer unicorn certainly didn’t help with the unrealistic values.

Another side note: I’ve never actually been in a FD. I’m 6’3” and worry about fitting in one. I’d love to find a local that’s willing to let me sit in the drivers seat (not to drive it) so I can get a feel for fitment before pulling a trigger. I’m in north Phoenix, anyone out there willing to meet up?

I’ve got a 2009 S2 RX8 as my daily and wonder how it compares to that.
