Hi all, I've been reading up on this forum for a few months now trying to find out all I could before I bought my first RX7. Over this past weekend I purchased a very clean '82 GS from the second owner with just over 120,000 miles and I LOVE it so far. There are a few things I've replaced (spark plugs and wires, oil, seafoam in the gas) and am ready to move forward and replace the next major thing that I need which is a radiator. I called around to all of my local parts stores and they want $200-$500 for one and they're all offering a plastic rimmed copper core radiator. I've seen a few on eBay that are all alluminum and are only $110-$130. Are those going to actually fit in my car? And I've been searching everywhere but I can not find ANYWHERE if the oil cooler and radiator are one piece like it is in some cars. I just don't want to waste my money buying something that's not even actually for my car. If there is a thread somewhere and I just didn't find it I'd be more than happy to read it as that's been a majority of my time lately is reading up on these cars so any help whether direct or a link to somewhere else would be very much appreciated.

Now if you require parts you can freely cruise the many classifieds sections to look for what you need But you will not find any info in the INTRO SECTION.
The Tech sections may also help you find more info on your rad and oil cooler setup too.
*try Searching :FC oil cooler mod in an FB (I "think" it may replace the beehive oil cooler IF you have that.)

 

Yeah my intro got a little side tracked 😅 But I've seen what the beehive looks like and I do not have it. A little more info about the car it has the rare glass sunroof and it also came with the factory matching red hard top still in its leather bag. It looks brand new. The foam doesn't even look cracked or aged at all.
