Hello all,
Just bought my first RX7 - many years ago I had:
RX3
RX4
RX2
RX5
In that order. I always wanted the 7 - just out of my financial reach back then.
Now I am old and grey - I can afford the car I always wanted, as well as the insurance! :-)
Specs are:
1985 Series 3 - 180,000kms - body in very straight and original condition. A good start.
Previous owner has done:
extend-port 12 A - 2 new housings, rebuilt 2000kms ago.
EFI with Haltech computer
Bosch injectors
VL turbo fuel pump
rising rate fuel regulator
custom surge tank
PWR aluminium radiator and oil cooler
s/s dual pulley
K&N air filter
Webber manifold
super light flywheel
Exeedy Hd clutch
extractors and 2.5 inch sports exh
new red-nolathene throughout
new pedders rear
new KYB cartridges front
17 inch ANZ alloy rims + low profile Nanking rubber
Alarm/immobiliser/central locking
all electrics working as original except the air-con has been removed. :-(
Funnily enough, the car isn't nearly as fast as I remembered from my older variations - but then I was in the habit of rip'n'replace engines with heavily modded 13B's - so this with it's original 12A I don't expect to be that fast.
But boy oh boy does this thing go round corners!
Loving every minute - any excuse to take it out - even just down the shops!
Looking forward to participating in the forum for a long time to come.
