Hi, This is my first FD3S....Hong Kong
Hello, We are Godzpeed from Hong Kong, and we have just purchased our first Rotary machine and has always been a dream. A 1995 Mazda RX7 FD3S.

We got this car at a really low price thats not worth to mention. But I would like to keep this car as a collector.
But this is my first FD3S, to be honest, I have no idea what to look into and involved in terms of rebuilding.
My goal is to re-create the RE Amemiya FD3S in Initial D. I have 2 routes to go. One is to Order the parts from RE Amemiya from Japan and have a HK rotary building rebuild and tune my engine. This way I could document the entire build process.
Second is ship my car directly to RE Amemiya and have them rebuild every aspect of the car. This is probably easiest and less time consuming since Amemiya would probably have all the necessary parts and the ability to find new OEM parts.
Here is the list of things I want to do.
- Full RE Amemiya Kit from Keisuke's FD3S, but painted in white
- Volk Racing RE30 w/ A050R tires
- Fully spot weld the chassis and strengthen
- Full roll cage ( I will take the car to track day once completed)
- Fully rebuild and upgrade the engine in terms of power, I'm aiming at 350HP.
- Hopefully refresh the interior with new OEM parts or new CF replacement (such as door panels)

thanks!
I've been deciding rather I go the RE-A route or buy a cheap 99+ Facelifted FD from Japan and have all the face lifted parts and newer parts install and do a restore on it. The reason behind the facelift restore is cuz in HK, due to import law, 92-05 cars could not be imported. So I could only buy the facelift car as a part car. Plus the donor car I've been looking at has been in an accident before and repaired. But since I'm only using the car as parts, that's not a concern for me.
The car I've been checking out for parts

I've been researching a lot on the FD online and came across this car from Thailand. This is exactly what I've been pursuing in the final form of my car (but with a smaller turbo) and have this car for show + seldom driven (meaning unregistered and drive with test plate). But at the same time, if I do it this way, I might as well buy a near new Sprit R in Japan and have RE-A do the work on it before shipping it back to HK.

or go with the complete stock facelift restore and keep the car registered for street use (not daily driven, but will definitely take it out more than if I took the route about). also I will have a complete spare parts car.
Route 1 will cost about $25,000 USD in total and Route 2 will probably cost around $50,000 USD
