CA Hi, I'm new here.

Well, kind of.
So hey, I'm Kamiyo.
I've been kinda just reading around for a bit.
Decided to finally start posting today. I'm currently too young to drive :/
I came upon here through Google, and a friend, when I somehow got very interested in cars again. Must've been watching too much Initial D >.>
Anyway, I did my research, and for a time, I wasn't much of a fan of RX-7's. Once I did the research though, I kinda fell in love with it. I love the way it looks, and the sound of a rotary engine is amazing.

I'm 15, and I turn 16 in a year, so I'll be getting my license by then. If I can save up enough money, I'll get myself an FC3S too.
I like the FC3S. I just like the shape, and the way it looks. I prefer it over the FD, and, if I could, I'd own them both :P

So, now you know a little bit about me and my interest in the RX-7.

Anything you guys wanna know about me? Shoot.

P.S. Since I've been reading around here a bit, I do know a bit about mainly second gen RX-7's, the basic idea of the engines, and etc.
Although I don't have any mechanical knowledge or anything. Too young. Maybe when I get my own car I'll learn, but right now I haven't even driven a car before.

What th? No love for the 1stgen's? The cars that started the RX-7 craze?

lol...hey, thanks for registering and welcome aboard, Kamiyo. Go find the local gokart track and spend some track time there....you're about 80% of the RX-7 experience right there.

They start younger every year....and that's a good thing for these cars.

I agree with Mario... Get your self a first gen and call it a day. None of that troublesome electrical stuff.

I'm sorry, but I'm not too into the first gens. More into second gen. Third gen is like, bleh to me as well. Too much stuff to mess with.

And yeah, I have a friend with an ae86 coupe that let's me drive occasionally.

I'd highly suggest you go to the 2ndgen tech board and type in "problems" into their search engine...and they are a rough sort of crowd there, too. Yer mom ain't gonna like you hangin' around with that crowd.

Haha, like my mom would care. She doesn't know English too well either.
I guess I'll look it up, but I doubt my mind would change. >.>

well keep doing your homework and there are videos that show the inner workings of the rotary engine.

I would suggest saving your money try and make some meets and get to know people and perhaps you can get a ride in each of the generations while the drivers seat vs the passenger seat is obviously different get exposure

I am a bit older and have driven our local club members cars the FD FC TII and the SA/FB's and and while there are those that are faster I'll keep my 79 all day long. You would just have to experience it to understand. Plus a first gen can grow with you and driving experience with the weight can be made competitive with the others

I'd go to meets if they were closer. The closet to me that I know of right now is the one in Chino Hills. There are other kinds of car meets that I can walk to, but it's not the kind of cars I'm interested in.
I'd rather not choose an FD because I can't afford to maintain it, and I prefer the looks of FC>FD.
I can't say too much about SA/FB's since I haven't learned too much about it, though I'd rather not choose it. I'm young and stubborn, ya know? Hard to change my mind.

Though I have done my research. I know a decent enough amount of knowledge to make a decision. I just like the FC, idk why I like it so much. And yeah, I am saving up my money.

I have to figure out a way to get more money though. Most places won't hire under 16, so I can't get a job. Not yet anyway. I'd like to be able to afford one by the time I can drive though. I currently have $550. So I'm getting there. Slow and steadily. If I'm lucky, my dad will give me some money for it as well.

welcome to the club! i joined a couple months ago and also am young myself! i drive a 91 FC, naturally aspirated with some aftermarket and self made go-fast goodies

your definatley in the right forum if your looking to learn about FC's and rotary engines. just fyi, the search tab IS YOUR BEST FRIEND! always search something before you open a thread, cause most of the time you'll find the answers there

any idea if your looking to go turbo or na?

NA. Makes for a better dd.
That, and I can't afford to maintain a turbo.

And yeah, I know the rules and everything.
I've been to many different kinds of forums, and I myself own a forum, so I know about all that.
The rules for each forum are generally the same, so I won't be doing too bad on that.

I'd like to have a 91 FC3S, with rear seats installed. And I'd like it to be white in color, but...
There's no way I can get that within the next couple of years. So the best I can do is just pick out a nice one that I can use as a daily and work on getting a second one as a project car and work on that. That one I could probably make white and do all the stuff I wanted to.

But, I'm looking too far ahead. And damn, I really wish I can drive already. Friggin age requirements -__-
I know how to drive already >.>

I'm sure if I can't figure it out my dad might know.
That, or he can get his mechanic friend. Although I'm sure they know nothing of the rotary engine.

I'm afraid to mess it up, that's why I'm not planning to do too much with it until I'm older. I'd just like to be able to drive it, ya know? It's so cool and the sound is beautiful.
