Hi I'm New
Hi my name is Cole Shelton and I just bought an 87 RX7 with 140k original miles on the the car. It is a 5 speed manual with an open rear diff. I wish it were a GXL with a posi but the car was in good shape I settled for it and I'm happy I did. I haven't taken any photos yet but once I do I will upload a few.
I plan on restoring the car to a point that is reliable. I need some help though. I have worked on it a little bit. I've replaced the alternator belt and filled up all of the reservoirs. The car doesn't smoke at all EVER at any rpm under any load so I assume the apex seals are in good shape. I had to put exhaust on it to get it to pass inspection but besides that the car runs and drives great.
I look forward to gaining whatever there is to know about this platform of car in good time. I've already worked with mazda parts before and I am no stranger to them. I own a 95 Ford Escort GT and I swapper a Mazda BP-T 1.8L in it and it is FUN. I hope make the FC pretty quick too here pretty soon.
