TX Hi From Cedar Hill, TX

I just saw this website. I have had my RX-7 Convertible since March of 2007. It had 31,000 miles on it when I bought it from the second owner. He had only owned it less than a year and only put about 5000 miles on it as it had a little over 26,000 miles on it when he bought it.

Not too many of those convertibles around. I think I have seen about 3 of them in the DFW are is all. I have been trying to find out how many were made each year but have not really been successful. I know there were not too many imported in '91 because they were over twice as pricey as the Miata and most people wanted a convertible and didn't care that the Miata didn't have the rotary. (or didn't want the rotary anyway and sure weren't going to pay 26K+ for the car.

I can't remember the last time I saw any RX7's. I used to have a silver 88 vert and sold it off 20 yrs ago. I always liked them and would look on e-bay every so often and finally got my 91 a few months ago.

I saw your post about yours not starting, any luck getting it fixed?

Post some pictures of yours.

Yes it was extremely flooded. I think the throttle body might be a little dirty. It will start now but doesn't run good and won't idle (it doesn't start easy but at least it now starts). I put some Berryman B-12 in the gas tank and plan on driving it tomorrow (somewhere where I don't plan on stopping and restarting) hoping to "blow the soot" out of it. It started acting up about a week ago.

After I get it going again I'll wash it and take some pictures. I've had it almost 10 years and don't think I even have any pictures of it.

I don't know, I was in Colorado Springs area last summer and it was awesome. I just kept saying that I can't believe people live with scenery like that. I'm proud to be a Texan and all but CO was incredible.
