Hi from Australia
Hi my name is Brent and im 44 year old living in Perth Western Australia.
Ive been into rotaries since about 1983
wow just realised 30th anniversary.may have to buy the car an anniversary present
I started out in RX3s and have owned around 10 and have just sold my last one.
They are becoming very expensive compared to comparable RX7s so ive just bought myself a 1985 (we call series3 here in aus) car.Similar condition rx3 would have been easy 5 times the price
It was owned by apprentice panel beater who had the body and paint done at work and has a 13B turbo engineered and fully street legal. Its quite tidy but not running at the moment due to suspected broken apex seal.Should be running in the next month fingers crossed.
Im a bit of a computer noob so hopefully im posting in the right spot.

Rx3s getting to expensive to play with
so im playing with first gens now.
Once i work out how to post pics i will put some up of my car plus some of my brothers ground up rx3 rebuild.
Yeh about 10 rx3s over the 30 years. Most over here have been majorly bastardised so good ones becoming quite rare.
RX7 engine being rebuilt over the next month and first stage hoping for 300hp and will starting winding it up a bit once its sorted.

Ive finally got another car after selling my rx3.
I bought Hanmels old car.Specs are
1985 Series 3
Repainted recently grey/silver
Tidyish interior
13B turbo
twin plate clutch
S5 turbo box
Hi flow
MT 8
Standard rims
The cars paint got done by hanmel at his work.It looks very straight and tidy but has a couple of imperfections so suited to a road car perfectly.About the only thing it needs doing is replacement of the rear bumper. Its sitting wierd and think it will need another reo.
Interior is very tidy has wind up windows.I thought all series 2 and 3 had electric windows so not sure but i think the electric ones must have been giving grief so may have Series 1 manual winders installed.Im not worried about this unless i stumble across some mint door trims to replace the usual saggy originals.
It seems to have a fairly decent stereo but havent heard it as yet.
So only plan on doing minor detailing etc on the interior and thats about it.
The engine is Series 5 and is currently dead with blown apex seal so will be getting rebuilt shortly.
My mechanic has told me the basic setup is good just needs tidying up and a few mods.
So will iron out all the mechanical gremlins to make it nice and reliable.
Im not sure about the standard rims it would look better with something else but the standard ones make it look stock and would probably get less police attention. After my last 7 getting yellow sticker grief its nice this one is fully engineered and stock looking.
Plans are for it to be weekend toy with some cruises, barbagallo and motorplex thrown in.
