RX420B

Hi,

My name is Angus, my first car was a mazda Rx4 which i had for about 2 years back in 1993. I then purchased a Series 2 Rx7 which i owned for about 7 years. It started its life with a standard 12a, which i removed and bridgeported and ran in that configerattion for about 12 months. I got a bit bored with its performance which initially was great. Decided to go 12a PP which was a lot of fun. Managed a pretty respectable 275 odd Hp at the wheels and it was a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Unfortunately the drive line begged to differ and after destroying one ser 2 gbox and about 3 diffs. I deceided to go for a 13b Turbo swap, found that the turbo engine was a lot easier on the driveline, power was less peaky. It stayed with the car until i sold it in 2002.

Have had a bit of a break from the rotary scene however the bug bit again. I purchased a 20b engine about two years ago and a mazda 929 coupe. I also purchased an original 1974 Rx4 Coupe about 12 months ago. I intend to keep the Rx4 original and perform a ground up restoration on it. At the moment i have placed it storage until i the 929 is completed. This could be a while as its hard to find the time with two young boys both under the age of six. Anyway would be good to hear from any members that are currently in the progress or have completed similar builds.

Here's a couple of pics of my Series 2 Rx7 that i pretty much built from the ground up back in the 90's. Sorry about the picture quality the photo's were taken with an old film camera and i just scanned them.

Still wish i never sold her.
