Hey..!! New from Chile
Hi,
I just got my first rotary, a 94´100% JDM FD3S.
As here in Chile it´s forbidden to run on RHD cars it must be converted to LHD, so it means A LOT, and I mean A LOT of custom work.
Probably before getting regular maintenance parts I´ll make a big effort looking for USDM & LHD interior trims, panels, console.
So I just started reading the forum and am really stuck on it... Tons of usefull information.
Thanks a lot, and greetings from a Chilean friend.
Peace...

Well congratulations on your new acquisition and welcome to our website...what's your name and why the heck would you get a RHD car knowing about the hassle and knowing you're going to kill the "original" status of that car which might make it a valuable collector car in the future??

Hi...!!!
Well, the answer is just one... PRICE
A regular USDM 93´RX7 is arround US$20.000.
A JDM RHD 94´RX7 is US$6000, and is not standard, from what I know (I don´t receive it yet) got Racing Suspension, 17" aftermarket wheels, ARC intercooler, greedy exhaust, etc.
I will probably get it by the end of this month, am waiting for the steering exchange process and all the paperwork.
I know for JDM lovers (like me) it´s a sin, but I have to do it... With a RHD it can´t even get to my house...
I´ll post pictures when I get it...
See you...

Claudio, thanks for the info....what kills me is that I think the pricing would be just the opposite up here in the States! Seems like we got crazy guys that have to have that RHD look and pay extra for it...if it came from the factory like that, it makes it even more valuable than a converted LHD model.
Crazy.
Crazy.
