Hello world!

Hiya. I’m a longtime lurker, though not as much in the last couple of years, and I misplaced my account info at some point in time. Originally registered sometime around 2002 or 2003 when I bought my first blue 94 (93? It’s been a while.), and followed along as I worked my way through a 94ish single turbo (crashed, as might be expected when an 18yr old drives a 400 some-odd hp sports car for some period of time), and finally a 90 GXL (maybe a gxl).

Involuntarily built the FC; mild street port, interior partially gutted, strut braces, stainless lines, pads and rotors, rebuilt transmission, lsd from a different model, power steering disabled, and ac broken for most of the time I owned it. Great fun. Still haven’t driven anything that felt as comfortable to drive in the rain, or gave such clear feedback from the tires... at least until it broke again. Since it was as broke as I was at the time, off it went for a fraction of what I put in to it... oh well. It happens I guess.

15 some odd years later, I’m driving a 2017 WRX, had a 2002 WRX, and thinking motorcycle racing thoughts... but also find myself have RX7 thoughts periodically. Mostly just here now to browse the classifieds, skim some threads, and daydream of a time when I own someplace with a garage, tools... and maybe another RX7. Maybe an electric one with motors at all four corners? Or a rotary. They’re so smooth. But so loud. Maybe a v8. Or... a turbo diesel? Hard to say. Maybe none of the above. We’ll see.
