Hi everyone, I'm Alex. I'm from Daventry near Birmingham in the UK. I'm a lifelong car geek and work as an Automotive Design Engineer. I've been a BMW guy most of my life but have recently become a bit of an RX-7 convert. I'm seriously considering importing a late Series 8 from Japan after experiencing a friends RX-7. With that in mind I've been busying myself learning as much as I can about them and what they're like to own and live with and what you can do with them. RX7Club seems like a great forum with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and I'm hungry to learn.

My current car is a '96 BMW 323i Coupe which I've now had for 11 years, it's turned into my daily driver now but I do still love it and don't see myself ever selling it. Even so a change is in order and these days I can afford to run a weekend car for fun.

I play icehockey with a recreational team in Coventry and am quite a bit into fitness and weightlifting. As a true engineer at heart I've always got project ideas and love learning and tinkering with things from electronics and programming to machining and design. I've been lucky enough that I've managed to make engineering my day job.
