Hello from Texas!

Hi all, I recently bought my first RX-7, 79’ GS. I have a bit of a nack for collecting and restoring old obscure classics and I intend to well document this one as well, but this is entirely new territory for me. I look forward to joining the community and I’m curious what the main sources are for parts and information. Thanks!

I do not know much about it honestly other than that it is bone stock original, the guy I bought it from claims to be the second owner and also claims to have 92000 miles on it. I have not personally heard it run yet but the starter is currently removed and it looks like a good bit of vacuum lines and wires are misplaced as if there is a few things missing. Said vacuum hoses are blocked off though and seller claimed it would run like a top if it had a new starter so I’m excited to try that. The number one thing I need for it right now though is a windshield and passenger side window. Possibly also a good hood. Everything else seems to be relatively in tact though and almost all the original parts are still here. And you are correct, it was assembled September 78’
