Hello from Serbia
Hi!
My name is Ivan and I recently became infected.
Terminally ill with roto bug.
I live in a country where rotary is not popular, known about, or even seen on the streets. Where there is 10 FB's, 20FC's and 2 FD's. Out of that number there are 5 or 6 original engines in cars, all others got VW or Opel conversions at some point of time.
I have a 87' TII with original engine that blew a water seal, was driven like that and neglected, so one of the irons got erosion in seal groove.
It has 137000km and was newer opened, also there is no signs of any kind of non professional servicing of the car (if any was ever done to it).
Here are some pics.
Enjoy

Considering all the crazy stuff that happened over there in Serbia, it's interesting to see such photos where it looks so normal...the red rex really makes you think you're just looking at another part of the USA. Amazing how similar we really are in some aspects of life. Thanks for the pics!
So now....just how did you get that RX-7 and what made you decide to go rotary?
and ps., thanks for taking the time to register and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club!

Well...
Thanx for making me a part of this wonderful community.
And yeah, considering all the s..t happened here it is a real miracle that i have found a rotary Mazda here.
I always had 3 dream cars:
- Muscle
- RWD japanese
- Lancia Delta integrale (4WD)
I had a Ford Taunus with V8 (i swapped the engine in)
I had a Lancia DEDRA Integrale (close enough)
And Supra mkIII...
And i was disappointed with how heavy the car was/felt.
So i started to search for a new dream car, in the meantime i drove a Ford Probe 1st gen with turbo'ed FE3 engine swapped in, and one day i came across this red beauty and fell in love with her. took her for a spin and kept spinning...
For the past half a year, the car is been rebuilt from the ground up,(minus the bodywork since it is near mint), i am doing this on weekends, since i don't have much time cause of the job I'm working all the time.
Do I post my progress here or can i open a build thread?
Peaveeus
PS: I do wanna thank one member here who helped me in the time of need with the advice and words of encouragement. Aaron thanks man, i was on a verge of pouring gasoline over the car and setting it on fire.
PPS: how do I post YT links in the post?

@ Mario 3:
In Serbia everything is more or less normal.
The bombing was 13 years ago, and we move on. Belgrade is a capitol city and is a really nice place to visit. If you ever come to Europe do come to Serbia, you will be suprised.
PS: in the picture of the car from the side, in the background you can see a remaining of a bombed building (few Tomahavks hit it, one didn't explode)
