Hello from San Diego
Hi, so I've got a bug in me to have a project/fun/show/track car and I've always had love for Rotary Engines and the FD RX-7. Perhaps soon I will be able to buy one, the end goal is a 20B swap, I'm aware of the great expense, but it's a dream.
Currently driving a Tesla Model 3 as my daily, so I can field any questions people might have about Electric Vehicles.

Welcome to the club! You've come to a great source of knowledge, expertise and opinions (lol). Can't wait to see when you get your project off the ground!
How do you like your Model 3 btw? As a former employee of Tesla, i love to hear peoples opinions about their cars.

Thanks for the well wishes! For now it's a dream as C19 is changing finances and sociability required to get the project vehicle. Of course natural availability of RX-7s has gone down and prices gone up. In my mind I think I'll be stabilizing it and getting a solid upgrade on a 13B and enjoying 2 rotors before thinking about upgrading to a 3.
As for the Model 3, it's the AWD Dual Motor, so it's quick as hell already, not even having optioned the Acceleration Boost upgrade yet. The Tesla 3 is far and away the best daily/commuter car in existence. I mostly charge it at home but having Superchargers available makes longer trips pain free. Speed, comfort, convenience, intelligence with the automatic systems, and cost of ownership are all fantastic.
