Hello from San Diego

Hello I’m Nathaniel!

I live in San Diego California and I don’t own an RX-7...yet!

My uncle was an original owner of a 1983 RX-7 GS in red. He told me he had planned on giving it to me once I got my license. However that day never came, he had some major engine problems and the car sat in his drive way for years.

One day I stopped by to visit and it was just gone; he had it hauled off to a junkyard.

I have very fond memories of my uncle and the trips we took in that car.

I joined the forum to educate myself and do research while I save for the purchase of my very own RX-7.

Looking forward to learning from all of you.

Cheers,

-Nathaniel

welcome to the forum. sorry to hear about the dumb move on ur uncle's part. he could have sold it to someone that would have got it back running. why he didn't contact u before junking it? how long ago was that? if not too long, try finding it.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I think it was a project he intended to tackle but eventually got tired of just seeing it sit and decided to move on. This was at least 10 years ago now and in a different city so I doubt I’ll find it.

Besides I’m searching for an 1985 gsl-se to make my daily driver!

Thank you! Glad to know there’s people in the area with an interest in rotary engines, I’ll definitely have a lot of questions.
