BC hello rx7club

Hello rx7 club, rad community you have here from what ive seen so far, very helpful

I've been doing alot of research through these boards for a few months now trying to figure out what to look for in a 2nd gen rx, thanks to your incredible knowledge base here i knew what to look for, i think i found a good score here.

i wanted to avoid an engine rebuild so i bought one recently built

i dont have alot of details about the car right now i will get into that later, but what i found was an '88gx with a '90 na under hood, rebuilt under 20.000km ago and 200,000 on the body.

it has a terribly contaminated fuel tank, blown fuel pump, the new fuel pump makes her run from a jug of gas, but its got terrible idle issues wont idle under 3k rpm.

first thing is first the fuel system.
im pulling the tank, blasting it out, filter, clean up new fuel pump best i can so it lasts.

and the timing is out, he lost position on the distributor, way out, that will be second il have to research the method to find it later

just though id say hi, kinda a ramble for a hello but well see how next post goes when i have more infos and these problems fixed.
pics later too i suppose.

wasup rx7club, ive been reading your boards for a couple months, theres alot of helpful info on here in general, and specifically alot of good info of what to look for in an rx7.

I wanted a 2nd gen rx and what i got myself is an '88 gx with a '90 13b under the hood, rebuilt about 15k ago, the shell itself has 200k on it.

she has some issues but they seem to be minimal, knock on wood right.

I'l add pics and more infos on the car when i am proud of her look and drive.
