Hello RX7 Club!
Hello!
My name is Robert (yes, yet another Robert!). I just recently purchased a non-running '87 FC TII and am currently trying to get it running. It only has 84,700 miles on the clock and the interior is in wonderful condition =) But anyhow... thread is "introduce yourself" so i'll stop introducing my car!
I'm just your average 30 year old married guy living in South Carolina. I work for a major chain auto repair facility that also makes a major brand tire. I've always been fascinated by the rotary motor ever since i got my first car. It was an '88 pontiac fiero with the 2.5L 4 cylinder. yes, i know, it has nothing to do with rotary power. But i was always curious what a rotary motor would do in the back of one. I still have it, and it still runs. but the cost of such a swap is out of my ballpark. So, in comes my new-to-me RX7! I've always loved them and wanted one, and now i've ponied up and will be selling my *gasp* '04 Hyundai Tiburon once the rx7 is running properly.
So there you have it. I finally have the rear powered car i've always wanted and the performance that comes along with it =)
Thanks for having me!
Robert
