Hello from Northern California

Hi, so I'm finally getting around to my project car. Lovely 1979 Rx7 Sa22. Just pulled the motor a couple weeks ago, now to rebuild or replace. Car has some sort of custom wife body kit on it, might have been raced at some point. Wish me luck!

Unfortunately, I don't know much of its history, was sitting in the woods for many years when I purchased it. It then sat in my garage for about 10 years, then in October of last year I pulled the motor and started on it. I had worked on it a little over those 10 years, like running the smoke machine of a motor to keep it unseized. Interior was completely ruined and a little moldy, so I ripped all that out.
Now I have the engine torn down and its looking kinda rough, on the fence as to rebuild or replace.

I agree that the intake ports look larger than stock. You might have something nice on your hands! Also, the car does not appear to be rusty which is a huge plus!
