IN Hello! Noob with a long post!

Hello all! I am the new owner of a 88 RX7 Vert, all stock, right down to the torn seats! This is my second RX7, the first I had was a 91 auto coupe. THAT car was a real pos, but I learned alot about what to look out for with these 7's. I am a service manager and know a LITTLE about rotary engines. So the next few things I need to do are clean the BAC valve, adjust the TPS, install new plug wires(plugs are new NGK's), install new seat covers, fix my radio cutting off when I hit bumps(aftermarket), replace the rear shocks, find out what the h**l is clunking around in the drivers front wheel area, install new tires,(current Yoko's have decent tread but are dry-rotted terribly) get the passenger side door repainted,(don't you just hate it when po's try to do bodywork themselves!) replace the wiper switch,(yep, only "I" works) and replace the warning lights/clock(no time). LOL, after typing this all out it seems like this car is a turd, but I bought it right and mechanically it is very strong, excellent compression,(I checked it) new clutch, rebuilt tranny, new brakes, new cloth top, all new vaccum lines, etc. The A/C and heat work excellent, the engine pulls to redline smoothly and strongly, and the previous owner was pretty good about maintenance and kept track of all work he did, including installing a fuel cut-off switch. The car was a summer toy for him so it has no rust anywhere! I am going to use it for the same purpose. I have been reading/searching posts on here and I did have a few questions. I have seen where some folks have put tranny fluid in the rotor housing to clean up carbon deposits/free sticky seals, etc. I am thinking of doing this as preventative maintenance. What are the general thoughts out there as to how effective this is? My 7 starts quickly and does the 3K, 1.5K, then idle thing. Once it warms up though it starts to wander between 800 and 1200 rpm, a little higher when the A/C is on. Pressing on the brake pedal does bring the idle down maybe 50-100rpm. It doesnt constantly dance back and forth, it will just hold a higher idle or a normal idle. After adjusting the TPS and cleaning the BAC valve if it still does this any suggestions on what else to look for? Well, I think that is about it for now. It is a decent day here so I think that I will go out for a drive. Thanks for reading and keep the bottom side down!

P.S. After getting a little of the cosmetic work done I will post pics of the car. Oh, and by the way, it has 149K on it.
