Hello from Minneapolis!

I just picked up an '87 FC "Barn Find" -- it has been in storage for 25 year and virtually rust free. And when I say "I", it's really my 20something year old son's project, but I have far more time on my hands then he does! I am new to RX7s, so jumping in and learning.

Say hello if you are in MN!

Welcome to the forum!! Looks like a really nice find! Do you know any of the car's history?

I do know history! -- I got it from the original owner. She purchased it in late '86, drove it for 10 years, then put in storage the fall of '96. The good news it was in a "pod", so weather and rodent free for 25 years. The bad news is, the storage location told her she had to get her car, so it was delivered to her hobby farm this spring and sat out in a hay field all summer, which means rodents did have 6 months at it. I don't see any evidence of mice in the cabin, but they got in the engine compartment and, of course, did chew on a few wires (about 6 sections of wires will need to be replaced).

Overall -- this will be a great resto project. It will be my 20something son's project and he'll do some "resto-modding". The only negative so far is - this car was ordered without A/C -- so maybe an A/C resto-mod is in the picture (any advice?)
