Hello from Long Beach, CA

hey fellow rotary fans, i'm jake, i am 16, and my first car is and almost new 1980 rx-7 that is completely stock. i recently bought it in near mint condition from an 80(coincidence?) year old man moving to florida for 1000 dollars, and it came with so many extra parts that they alone were probably worth the thousand that i paid. it has a bone stock 12a, with a 5 speed manual, and it also came with all the paperwork from when it was brand new till about a year ago. however, this guy was a jaguar enthusiast, and there's nothing wrong with that, but he tried to turn this thing into an old jag. he replaced the center console with a hand made wooden one, he custom made and replaced the center panels where the radio, ac controls and shift **** are with custom wood panels. they look good, but just not my taste. thankfully it came with the original plastic ones, but it didnt come with the center console. also, the car was white originally, but he had it repainted british racing green, hence my user name. it is a great paint job, and i rather like the color. if i ever repaint it though, i really like the light blue metallic of some other rex's and i would repaint it that color. and last but not least over the stock steel wheels he put some of those crap 20 dollar wire wheel hubcaps from pepboys. i took those off before i even drove it away. i love my car, and i just plan to keep it (mostly)stock, maybe some mild performance upgrades and a nice set of wheels and tires. thanks for reading and take care fellow rotards
