Well with a blown motor you have a few options

1. take it apart figure out what went wrong order a replacement and rebuild it.
2. get a already rebuilt motor
3. Some shops offer ported motors that are ready to drop and go

Pros-
1. you do it yourself and can be cheap if the damage isn't too bad
2. you don't have to do anything just drop it in wire it up and drive
3. its built for performance and done professionally

Cons-
1. you have to do it requires some knowledge of rotary's and how they work I would recommend a rebuild DVD or a Haynes manual
2. you don't know who did the rebuild there's no guarantee it will work
3. $$$ that's about it

Basically around here you have two sides of the coin in this argument

1. Purists - Think that anything besides a rotary is blasphemy
(i.e guys that will swap s4 TII's or s5 TII motors into any RX chassis)

2. Radicals - Think that whatever floats your boat and makes lots of power is worth a shot
(i.e. Think that dropping 20k on a swap is nothing and do anything for more power :P)
That's the main reason, both engine platforms have tons of potential.

In the end its up to the individual and personal preference that's about all.
