Hello everyone, my name is Sam, and I'm a senior in high school. I've always had an interest in rx7s, and my dream is to be able to build one as I continue on through college. All the threads I've read so far have been very helpful, and I look forward to furthering my knowledge of the RX7's!!

What kind of RX-7 are you planning on getting?

Thank you Kent!! Ideally I would like to get an FD, and be able to do some work with it, but if I can't find one, I'll probably find a nice FC.

 

I think an FB or FC would be good for you. The FD is a bit much for someone is HS or college (insurance, can be a lot of work, etc.). The FD would be a good second/fun car once you are done with your education and all.

The FB/FC is easier to work on, cheaper to buy, cheaper for insurance, etc. and still a lot of fun.

 

Thank you for your opinion Kent!! I'm still in high school, working and trying to make money, so I can afford either one. So far my plan is to buy after my sophomore year of college so I have a place for the car and keep it inside.

I like the FC a lot, and they look like very good cars, its just that I love the way the FD looks too much, and I love it a lot, but realize it is probably not the best car to start with. I just need to wait until I'm ready to buy and see what comes up and what I want to do then!
