Hello fellow rx7 fans
Hi, I'm Dan, I'm from Caledon, Ontario (about 1/2 hour NW of Toronto), I'm 26, and this is my first post.
I've been viewing this site as my primary source of info during my long search for the perfect car. And a couple of weeks ago I picked up a silver '93 fd (lhd). All stock with the exception of a PF stainless exhaust. 104k with 16k on the rebuild.
Today I finally had a chance to bring 'er into my shop and I wasn't happy with what I saw under the dash: ancient viper alarm with all wires exposed, pioneer cd changer with dangerous exposed splices into the stock deck, and ugly fog lamps wired directly into the running light wire with no fuse whatsoever. I took out the cd changer, stock deck, and lights. Tomorrow I will get the alarm out and start shopping for a new one (I'm thinking compustar or viper pager system).
Other than the wiring nightmare, the car itself is pretty clean. Body is 9/10 (a couple of small stone chips on the hood), engine seems ok so far, no turbo leaks, all stock lines replaced. I'll post some pics soon enough so you guys can give me some feedback.
I look forward to learning a lot from this site, as it seems to be by far the most resourceful rotary site on the internet. Thank you all for helping me purchase my dream car.

The stereo is now completely taken out and i patched the spliced wires to the original harness. That was not as much a problem as it was an annoyance. All I need now is the harness to hook up an aftermarket deck without chopping off the oem harness. No big deal. However, I just had a better look at the alarm install and it looks like it's been hacked together by some amateur shop. The main power wire is actually exposed underneath the brake pedal and clutch! Looks like it was done in a high school auto class while the teacher was away.
Anyway, enough of my ranting. I'm going to get back to finishing up the interior so that I can focus the rest of the winter on more important mechanical upgrades.
I'm also contemplating new rims and tires. I really like most volk wheels but they're pretty pricey. Can anyone suggest something of similar quality that doesn't fall in in the same price range?
Thank you.

Here are a couple of pics of my beast. They were taken on my blackberry so the quality's not the greatest.:

As for rims, you could always check the Classifieds on here and look for a used set.

Thanks for the link, I will definitely bookmark it for reference. As for the rims, I'm not even sure what I want yet. I've only got my s2000 friends as a reference and since they can easily afford it, they've been suggesting some very expensive (but beautiful) wheels. Keep in mind that this is my first nice car, all my other vehicles are ford f250's or gmc sierras.
