my bestfriend gave me his 1984 mazda rx7 gsl

im going to restore the car but i dont know much about rotary engines ive been resreching for weeks can anyone tell me the specs on my car and if its posi or not
and things i need to know about driving if there anything special about it ect,ect

 

GSL is most likely posi. Does it have rear disk brakes?

You can jack up the rear end. If you turn one wheel by hand, the other should turn the same direction if it is an LSD posi unit.

 

check the engine out itself, check for compression and the obvious things with cars, GSL will most def house a posi rear end and its real easy to make it break out with it, so watch out if you start getting brave in turns, its not powerful but its light and forgiving so have fun.
