Hello from AZ!

Hello Rx7 Community,

Been lurking for the past couple days while i have mainly cleaning and ripping out the whole interior of my new to me car.

Just recently acquired an 1985 RX7 GS...(Original L6 paint.. but unfortunately previous owner seemed to have spray painted it silver...)
Car is practically OEM

The previous owner stated for around 9-10 years..., but thankfully it seems to be minimal / no rust on the chassis / body. wheel well and engine bay....
Originally an automatic, but I have already started to buy parts to eventually manual swap it. (would technically be my first manual car).

The interior seems to be in ... "ok" shape but some parts took a beating due to sun damage. Most everything was covered in a light haze of dust...
Been going at it with the shop vac/ wet vac / detailing brush (which i actually enjoy doing to my cars) but never dived deep into super mechanical things outside of brakes / simple part changes / wirings....

Probably will see some posts from me asking some questions in the future because all of my knowledge so far ... is coming from reading archived posts and watching RAD Potential

Plan on rebuilding the car is best I can and DIY (within my means)... heres the basic plan so far...

1. Clean Everything
2. Manual Swap (since everything is out already)
3. Figure out what all needs to be replaced... (some wires / hoses / lines / trim pieces .... rubber... that crumble to the touch...)
4. Potential Engine teardown????? (since its been sitting for so long) Carbon locked? Bad Apexs? Couldnt tell ya. Havent tried hand turning it yet...
6. Brake Check / Clutch bleed / old gas drain (more then likely gas tank resto from a shop)
7. Suspension Check
8.. Pray i have all my wiring / everything setup for the first time startup
7. Repaint / touch up spots. (i sanded the car down to get rid of the peeling / junk silver spray paint). Car is back to a very bad gross looking L6 ... will be respraying / rouching alot of things up

Wish me luck.

Looks really nice! Hopefully i can get to that point as well.

Ill have to refrain from uploading pictures until the car is in a better state. haha
Completely gutted and paint is all messed up due the spraypaint (and me wet sanding it off).

Once i start getting the pieces in place will post pictures.
