VA Hello all...need a little push

Hi everyone,

Just sold my 87 BMW convertible and it's time for a new "daily toy." My budget is $3-5K.

After spending a bit of time on the forum, I'm pretty sure I may finally get an RX-7.

However, I'd like some input as to what Generation I should be focusing on. I'd like to narrow my search and focus my forum reading.

I'm leaning toward a Gen 1 as I like the look and the size, but I'm not opposed to Gen 2 if it fits my needs better.

I'll drive it daily, but I have a second car so it doesn't need to be bulletproof.

I'd like to be able to get a nice starting point for my budget of $3-5K.

I am experienced mechanically, but a rotor newb.

I will be keeping it mostly stock.

Any input?

Ok...so I've made up my mind on the 1st gen.

Any lines on clubs in SW VA or NW NC?

Can't go wrong with a first generation. Post pics when you make the purchase!

I've always been partial to the 1st gen. I have the 12a na, but with all the fun it is finding parts for it I think my next will be the GSL-SE. Good luck.

yep...after more research, that is what I've decided. I think I can get a pretty good one in my price range...

Now just to find one...
