Hey guys, my name is Charlton, and I own a 83 rx7 gsl. I got it for 500 and I brought it back from 0 compression after 15 years of sitting. I plan on increasing the horsepower a decent bit without porting. I figured I'd join this page so u can learn more about my car, and how I can make it more enjoyable. Her name is nefratiti. Welcome! The car appears to be in good shape! Any idea why it was sitting for so long? How does the car run currently?

 

I meant I can learn about it, not you guys lol. But yes it's in good shape. It has some rust on the door and rail road crossing sign dinged the driver side vent, and metal surrounding it. It sat because it lost compression and the guy and his "master mechanic" didn't know about the ATF hack. The carb is off because I recently rebuilt/cleaned the carb and I lost the fuel bolt that goes into the front of the carb SMH. It ran strong as I brought it back to life. It would shut off when idle, and idle was at like 400-500 rpms. Would start up each time.... Except the last couple times.. when cranking, it would act like it was going to catch, but when I put the gas, the it would crank slower.
