ON Hello

I figured I would use this thread to do exactly what the forum suggests: Introduce myself.

My name is Geoff, from Toronto, Ontario. I'm a registered Ontario Insurance broker, so if anyone from Ontario needs insurance advice, I'd be happy to help.

I'm new to the world of RX-7's. I don't currently own one, but I'm in the process of doing my research to buy one.

While I'm new to RX-7's, I'm not new to cars or to online car communities. For many years I was an active member of the online Honda CRX community, and I was an organizer of the "N" meets www.niagaracrxmeet.org

I'm very slowly starting my shopping for an FD. I'm in a position where I don't need a daily driver, and I'm beginning to think I'd like to purchase an FD without a running motor and rebuild it. Hence I'm taking my time looking for a car with a good frame, for a good price.

I've spent a while reading your FAQ's (much appreciated) and I've had many of my initial questions answered through them, except for a few.

1) Do FD's have any typical rust spots? (I know from my experience with CRX's that the rear quarter panels are very troublesome for rust)

2) While reading the FAQ I was trying to read up on the Brake install, but both of the links are dead. Does anyone have active links for this?

Thanks in advance, and I look forward to learning a lot more about the car through your site.

-Geoff

Thanks for registering and welcome to RX-7 Club, Geoff! I was curious as to how you got to 8 post so quick so I took a look at the posting history.

I just want to personally say thanks for joining and also sharing your professional advice with the members in Canada on vehicle insurance matters! It's quite refreshing to read information that is backed by professional experience as opposed to something found in Wikipedia.

I hope this website supplies the car you're looking for, my friend!
