Hello!
So I just recently got my first RX7. It's an '88 FC. I picked it up off my boss for $1k and it didn't run. I pulled the plugs, squirted in some ATF, and dumped in some fresh high test. The next day I put a new battery in it, cranked it over to blow out the crud and make sure it wasn't carbon locked, re-installed the same plugs, and fired it up. Got my moneys worth right then.
I've been around cars all my life. I raced quarter midgets when I was a kid, motocross when I was a teenager. My first vehicle was a '92 S-10 Tahoe with a SB TPI350 out of an '87 GTA. My dad and I put that truck together to be my first vehicle, we put a cowl hood on it, painted some pearl white stripes down the middle, slapped on some 'too big' Centerlines with Radial TA rubber, 700R4 tranny, rear end out of a '98 Blazer to get 4 wheel disc brakes, Auburn rear end internals and called it a day ... or winter rather. Gas prices started climbing and me being in highschool couldn't afford it all the time. So the truck got somewhat parked, and I picked up a '96 Grand Prix. After a while I decided I wanted a little sports car and picked up an '86 Fiero GT 4 spd and sold the Grand Prix. Drove that until I totaled my mom's Accord and decided that wrecking the Fiero = death and got rid of it for an '06 TC which is my daily still. Now my new toy is the '88 FC ... whew.
