hello!
well been on here a while and thought i would formally introduce myself.
my name is jamie,im 26 and im from middlesbrough, england. i am a regular on the rotary club, and i have owned my 93 fd3s for almost 5 years now. had various cars as daily drivers but nothing really impresses me as much as my rx7.
been off the radar of the rotary scene for a bit as the daughter has been munching my cash flow but she is almost ready for school now, and i got a bit side tracked by a pulsar gtir project so i can start indulging in all things rotary again.
got my rx7 in 2004 just imported in white still on stock twins and ports running 300 at the wheels. i quickly got bored and took it offf road reading for open heart surgery, when the daughter came along. so the rx was left on the back burner for a few years till things settled out.
current spec at the moment is a decent sized bridge port, enlarged exhaust ports ( still with exhaust sleeves but will be shortened), mazdatrix oversized block studs, just ordered a 2 piece e shaft today. then obviously i will need all the associated machining that goes with these. im just stock pilling parts at the moment ready reassembly.
still undecided on turbo type yet, i was leaning t51r spl bb, then i switched and put a deposit on a gt45 then pulled out because i fancied a t62r bb spl. then i thought nah i build the engine up first and get that bolted up...first things first. but then i got stuck on seals...well i was going to go 3mm pts seals but im may go als or tuffstuff.
anyway nice to be here
