Used to frequent this forum years ago, but cannot find my old account, or even the email I used back in 2005-6 ish.
I own an 87 RX7 that has been in storage for the last 14 years, finally was able to start fixing it up, and got it running again. Registered here so I can ask some electrical questions later though.
This is what the gas tank looked like after 14 years: This is what the gas tank looked like after sitting for 14 years This is after cleaning it out
The Air Force moved me from the US to Japan, the car went into storage in NC. I got out a few years later and moved to Utah for school stuff. and got it brought out here, but it just sat until had enough money to start getting it fixed up.

Welcome to the forum! The car appears to be an 87 Sport. Fairly rare trim level to see anymore. Glad to hear that its running again. Does the car have a lot of issues that still need sorted out?
It is a base model, guy at work had the sport version, and blew the motor, so I bought his as a parts car, and also have a nice rotor display piece. Transferred all the suspension bits over, and replaced a bunch of broken dash parts, so is why it has the 5 lug wheels on it. It does have the back seat as well, so it is a 2+2
Main issue I am having at the moment is the gauge cluster keeps releasing the magic smoke
Things worked fine before I removed the dashboard to get access to the heater core for fixing, and when I plugged it back in, if the speed cable is attached, the return to 0 spring on the sped cable is heating up till it is glowing red hot, I think there is a grounds issue somewhere. Previous owner, 14+ years ago had a couple of wires vampire clipped off, but they terminated so am not sure if I am missing grounds somewhere else.
